Man in Moon
Description: It looks like a moon with rough clay textures to look like craters.  It has thick lips and a rocket the smooshed his left eye. Its gray color and hasn't been fired yet.  The moon has a face and its facial features are engraved using a tool.

Analysis: I used texture for my elements of arts. Texture on the smooth lips and rough face. For principles of movement I used emphasis. I put emphasis on the lips the rocket to show it was a huge rockets ship that came crashing down on the moon.  This piece fits in the context of history in a way that it is inspired by the 1920s film "A trip to the moon".

Interpretation :  This piece is about replicating the moon from " A trip to the moon". I think the title fits because it like a double entendre. In a way where you actually see a human face on the moon and a man actually is on the moon as it implies from the rocket landing.
This piece as I said before feels rough. If I were to glaze it I would have gone with gray and maybe brightly paint the rocket, to show a big contrast.

Judgement: Other people should see this work cause it will remind of the very old classic movies from the 20s. If I have it I would display it as a decorative piece. What worth remembering about this piece is that is looks different and not "pretty and perfect".
